Went out at 12:00 am on Friday for the first time. Bar was packed.
Started with some casual conversations with people in line. Just warming myself up.
Got to the bar and just felt completely out of place. People were with their friends, dancing, drinking all that good stuff.
I’m not much of a dancer or drinker but I tried.
Saw one girl who was in line for a drink with her friend and got some interests signals so I approached. She was dancing to me so I started to dance awkwardly as well. I just didn’t feel it. It’s not my specialty or vibe to just wave my hands in the air.
She left shortly after and so did I.
I was happy I gave it a shot, but that shot landed in the bleachers. I don’t know what I should be doing to escalate in a situation like that.
