Hey there, 25/m here. Let me start off by saying that for most of my life I was socially low-value due to my lack of social experience and insecurities. In my teen years I developed severe acne and became a legit recluse, staying inside my room 8 hours a day indulging in online gaming. I hardly had any friends and skipped my prom. I had no value. Needless to say my immediate and extended family treated me as such.

However, over the past three years I've turned my life around dramatically. It sounds cliche but lifting regularly has completely morphed my phisique, people I meet constantly assume I'm a college football player or in the military. My acne has cleared up and I walk with my head high. I've taken on a job in which I'm training others and public speaking for hours on a daily basis, an occupation which offers no leeway for meek beta traits and requires me to be "in state" constantly. I've gone out to bars regularly on my own and managed to pull girls back to my place the same night. I've been dating a cute girl for the past four months. These scenarios would be unfathomable to the previous version of me.

Since I don't see my family that often, when gatherings do occur I still feel the same level of complete non-acknowledgement or even disdain from some members that I did in the past. The worst are the females in my family, my aunt shit-tested me by asking if I finally had a girlfriend with a sneer on her face and when I showed her a pic of us she didn't know how to respond. Even my own sister displays a "bitch-shield" towards me, I saw her yesterday after a year away and at the table she would barely acknowledge my presence no matter how self-amused I was or how much light-hearted banter I engaged in, things which build rapport quickly with strangers I meet. It's like she was deliberately not allowing herself to give in to my frame because at one point she started laughing, but then withheld it and looked away. It's insane that I feel the need to employ the same tactics with female relatives that I would with some bar skank. Yes, even women in your own family treat you based on your perceived sexual market value (AWALT), but I was just oblivious to it in my blue-pill days. Unbelievable.

I obviously can't erase years of memories of my previous self in their eyes, but the downside is that when my family does treat me with disregard I almost feel a small part of me reverting back to my previous self and questioning my own self-worth. I want to minimize my contact with them as much as possible due to this and keep killing it in my day-to-day life. Does anyone have any input or experienced something similar after undergoing self-improvement?
