Just don't worry about it. It doesn't matter.

If a girl really likes you she will actively hide the fact that she has a bf. Or if she finds you creepy / desperate she will invent one.

If she wants you, and you ask... if she suspects that it will be a deal breaker, she will simply lie about it. Take the military route, and Don't ask, don't tell.
