preferably not at places you frequent, but yes. The pressure melts a great deal when she's only 1 of 10-20 women you plan on approaching that day. You can't obsess over one girl when you've done this with dozens just like her.

I think the guys that do the best at approaching have two main things going on in their approach:

The stuff that actually happens, such as the body language, the eye contact, the conversation, the situation in general etc. and
The stuff going on behind the scenes with the guy.

The guys who do well with approaching know how to have conversations with women. They have a good balance between being an entertaining conversationalist and also not "trying". The girl should feel like you aren't "trying" to be fun and cool; she should know that you are cool.

Easiest way to achieve this is lead an interesting life. Do exciting things. Get crazy with your friends and have good stories. Don't be boring with your life. Once you lead an interesting life, it will naturally show in your confidence and the way you talk to women.

Also, once you have an interesting life, you need to work on your game. IDK what TRP would recommend mostly for reading on game, but search it on here. Learn how to touch women, talk to them in a way that is not "interview style". Basically learn how to flirt.

For the behind the scenes stuff. Inner game. It comes down to confidence. They say fake confidence, but I call bullshit. I say build a life that you're really proud of and create real, natural confidence. Have great friends, develop relationships with those you care about (friends, family, coworker, neighbors, etc.). Lift and exercise; feel great physically. Read and learn so you became smarter. Go after something you want in your life. Embrace competition, join a sports league, or poker league, or a programming league, whatever floats your boat and really train to win.

Once you have a really good life, you'll be full of confidence because you know your life is great with or without women. That is where confidence comes from.

So to wrap it up, work on yourself to a point where you are proud of who you are and where you are going. And then keep working on yourself, until you make everyday about improving your life. If you do this, it will all show when you approach.

Of course, you actually have to get out there and force yourself to approach. Do it enough and you're gonna get rejected a lot, but over time, the rejections will be fewer or will be harder to happen and that's when you'll start getting the women you want.

Cold approach requires high SMV and game. However, it is totally worth doing for defeating approach anxiety if nothing else. I'd suggest looking up Good Looking Losers approach anxiety program. I'm about to start it myself but it gives concrete, step-by-step challenges to warm you up and make sure you are matching your current skill level/confidence level with the right kind of challenge, which is key to success in anything (read about flow states).

The second one sounds a bit beta, but it works. It's smooth because you're not really forcing the conversation and if she's not interested, you can move on and not waste your time from the start.
