I am new to this sight. Newly aware of MRA's. So pardon me if I am off key or stating a obvious point. I don't think men are oppressed, I don't think that, because of feminism, women have all of the power. I don't think feminists are evil, and I consider myself a feminist. That said, I do think that feminism today is lost. I think that it has devolved into petty whining, with not much being accomplished. Part of the reason I think that is where we are at is because of the lack of male voices. It is virtually impossible to have a constructive conversation about feminism these days. It all devolves into the same old buzzwords and standard responses. There is no depth and it feels as though all conversations end with blame games. Men bad, poor women, good. My belief is that at some point, if we really want to make lasting changes in stultifying gender roles, then men need to be included and listened to. We need to go beyond feminism and evolve into a movement that puts back together a social system that replaces what has been torn down. A system where people can be accepted for what they want to be. Female bread winners, stay at home dads, men wearing makeup, as well as women wearing makeup. Women approaching men and asking them out. Tall rich women dating short, housekeeping men. Women being satisfied being mothers without being thought less of by either men, or career minded women. The list goes on.
