As of late, I've seen a rather ugly trend where guys who come in here to relate their stories, have them dismissed by people who will comment by using "r/thathappened."

It's one thing to point out holes in a story. I get it; this sub has been trolled more than a few times. I also get that we are trying to be better than the feminists with the "no woman lies about rape" trope.

But this is supposed to be a place where men can come and open up about things that have happened to them in relation to the gender conflict. If we let the skepticism get us to the point where we just start dismissing accounts from our fellows out of hand, then we're done and the enemy has won.

The fact is that men are already being regularly shamed for speaking up about fucked up things that women do to them. We see "alleged feminists" and "white knights" indulging in that behavior all the time. And for all I know, most of the people indulging in the dismissals in here fall into those categories.

But as human beings, we need to strive to be better than those would would dismiss the issues that men deal with out of hand.
