I mean in a completely platonic sense. Throughout elementary and high school I never looked to make "friends" with women, especially ones that I was interested in. However, now that I'm in college I have made quite a few female friends. I been through both this subreddit and the main one looking for relevant topics and I found that most people agree that you should only keep female friends if they:
-
Raise your SMV by being around you
-
Will fill a wingwoman role for you when going out to game
I'm starting to realize that, IMO, they don't really do either and with most of them being in LTRs they're not going to be doing much in the way of creating an atmosphere around myself in the aforementioned situations. What's worse is that recently, from hanging out with them in a platonic sense, they feel the need to talk to me about their problems and such that you would normally speak to a BF and I will not be slipping into that beta backup-BF role. Is it time for me to cut them out completely or something that I'm simply being immature about?
I've been on TRP for a while but I've never been great at disappointing friends, which I'm sure they will be if I straight up tell them I'm not going to be hanging out with them anymore.
I could really use some perspective. Thanks men.
