Going out solo

Quit bitching and go out. It's not ideal but it is better than sitting at home.

If you act right noone else will know you are alone anyways - "hey I've got to get back to my friends but give me your # we'll talk later".

Plus no one you care about is there to observe your behavior. This is actually incredibly liberating because you can just do whatever you want at any point in time without other people having a chance to judge you or make you think twice. You shouldn't give a fuck anyways but it's still a good feeling to experience and translate into " normal life".

If you break a set and make new friends, come up with some excuse, your friends are lame and went home early, you wanted to party harder than they did, etc.

Just don't be that awkward fuck who stands alone in the corner or paces the club staring at people but not talking to anyone.

You should at least do something. If you always depend on your existing friends to come out with you, you'll find yourself frustrated often. Work on finding enjoyment for yourself, and maybe you'll make some new friends in the process. Find a cool new bar that serves that one beer your like, go there and enjoy yourself. If you see some cool dudes, chat them up. See a hot chick, spit some game?

I occasionally do this as I live downtown and all of my close friends are married/have kids. Dress impressively and don't look like a sad sack. If there's a game on or something, make a comment about it to someone. Last time I was out, a guy ended up talking about his college's football team. Turns out we went to the same college, we started talking, he invited me over to his table, 4 hot girls were there.
