Older guy, late 40's, dating a high 30's woman. First couple weeks dating, going at it hot and heavy everyday, sex is great (been a dry spell b4 that). But finding I'm neglecting other areas of my life.

So I pull back a bit on seeing her to catch up. From everyday (was about 3 weeks) to 3 times a week(overnites still included). Then get the phone call discussing my aloofness, "I've changed", discussion on relationship not lasting the year..We've only been going out a month! Never discussed anything long term.

I'm thinking this is a shit test to put me back into everyday mode. I don't like it. I'm trying to retain my option of walking away. During the phone call, I sounded very defensive trying to justify myself and of course I'm annoyed by that.

Hmmm, the more I explain, the clearer my options become. Stay the course. Can't explain to her too much, because it never works, if too much shit, then next her.

Any other viewpoints would be welcome...Thanks.
