Judge gives a two week unsupervised stay with a mother who has pled no contest to assault and who CPS sought fit to remove the child from her care in the past.

Not just the submariner who lost in court. Sounds like the child lost too.

Family court judges have considered themselves "above the law" for a very long time. This judges rulings are a surprise to absolutely no one.
