To me this sums it up really nicely. Just look at the foreword and summary. The last paragraph of the summary is actually really important, even though it is phrased in a really fancy way. Also notice that they use the phrase "raw wage gap" because that's what it is, it is raw.

It's not really a research situation anyway. It's not like it's a complicated issue with different surveys and competing facts or opinions or whatever.

It's a simple case of feminist putting out a lie for fifty years as a means to denigrate men. It's hate speech.

Specifically the lie is a bait and switch. Feminists claim women are paid less for the exact same work (bait) and then they "prove" this using a statistic of 77 cents or whatever, that they know is not about equal work at all, but the exact opposite (switch).

They say "equal work" then give you a statistic that compares a male brain surgeon working 80 hours a week with a female secretary working 35 hours. And then they say gosh isn't it sexist that she's paid less for that equal work.

So it's that simple. It's a lie.

So what is there to research?

I don't really consider good science a MR perspective, but if you Google "wage gap myth" you will find a wealth of mainstream sources. Time, Forbes, CBS, even Huffington Post. You know it's an embarrassing falsehood when even the most socially liberal sites publish facts on the wage gap.
