This raises serious questions about the police's willingness to even investigate false rape allegations. This may explain the low number of prosecutions for False Rape allegations in the UK according to the DPP.

I'd also bet the reason this guy pursued this case cause the police sex crimes unit treated him like crap. He was arrested in his home, kept in jail over night and had a charge hanging over his head for 2 months.

Insane. They had a solid case against her, and they're getting pushback against the very idea that they should use the evidence. Moreover, she was pushing for a false conviction. This is your brain on gynocentrism.

The last line is the most promising:

She pointed out that CPS guidance stated that it should take over private prosecutions for serious offences, and said it would have been inappropriate not to have taken the case on.

This shows that the CPS consider false allegations as a serious offence, hope for the future.
