If you manage to tie the DHV into the opener, that's great, but it's not mandatory.

Keep in mind, though, that the Mystery Method is built for nightgame or more for a terrace/lounge setting, where the girl has nothing better to do than sit around and kill time. It won't really work for daygame, where things move much faster. She's not going to sit there listening to how you went skiing in the Austrian mountains or about your trip in China instead, she'll actually be wondering, 'When is this guy going to finish his story".

In daygame DHV are very short but actually, just being well-dressed is already a DHV before you even say a word, any short DHV story will only boost your perceived value. Look at it this way: when you approach a woman, her first thought is 'Who the hell is this guy? Why should I talk to him?' That's why you have to show her, one way or another, that you're not just some random loser off the street, but someone interesting... and that's where DHV comes in.

If you're gonna tell a story, then you need to find some kind of natural segway into the story. If it just seems completely out of the blue it will be seen as socially awkward.

So you can either connect the story to the opener, or you can open, interact for a bit -> segway into your story.

All that said. Personally I think that trying to do Mystery Method in 2026 is pretty wild. It's like you want to cross the ocean, and instead of taking the plane - you decided on steam boat. The whole field has so vastly improved since then, and Mystery Method is extremely outdated at this point.

The general consensus now is that men should not use routines at all, well maybe except for the opener only. But anything beyond the opener should be a lot more flexible to adapt to the situation and her responses. DHV-stories are also just seen often as bragging. So how will you avoid making the "bragging" impression? Because only some women are attracted to this kind of boasting, and many find it a turn-off. And to add to this: It's generally much more effective to listen to her, than to tell your own stories about yourself. People like to talk about themselves, so give her that gift.

Last note: Mystery developed his game in nightclubs in Toronto and Las Vegas. And his aim was to sleep with dolled up club girls. So in those situations, the more boasting / bragging approach makes more sense. But that won't work everywhere.

This is outdated except key core principles. No woman is gonna stand around for example in night game while you are doing 100 routines. Will get bored and leave in no time flat. Come on now. RSD is superior in night game.
