To pursue women or to not pursue women, that is the question...

The number one piece of advice I see on here can boil down to a single concept- work on yourself. This is understand completely. On a daily basis I personally spend my free time doing things to better myself. Learning to cook, at the gym, reading books, playing guitar, or writing music. Often times I'm amazed how fast my nights go by because I'm doing something I love. I'm 24 and learning how important it is to take care of yourself and live a fulfilling life is something I'm so grateful for.

But I don't deny my needs. I've never been great with girls. The fact of the matter is I'm one of those guys who spent their teens playing WoW instead of interacting and being social. I was fat and had no confidence. I'm a shadow of what I once was, but I still never really got better with women. I realized I had social anxiety and attempts to go to bars by myself proved frustrating. Now I'm living on my own in a new state in a major city. I just moved here and I don't have any friends. I went on a date recently with a very attractive girl who turned out to be bat shit crazy. My point is is that I long to have a more fulfilling sexual life. The fact that I failed myself when I was younger in this part of life sticks with me and haunts me. I feel like I just missed out on being a reckless stupid kid. I missed out on learning how to date and making friends. I've had sex with 2 girls and almost a third. That's about it for someone who went to a college known for partying.

Red pill is helping me in a lot of ways. It's helping me cope with my mistakes and get over my past so I can move on. I feel more confident about myself. I look the best I ever have in my life (perhaps just slightly above average, objectively speaking). I've got a great job, live in a great city, and have talents. The only person I can call a friend is a coworker and wants to start a band with me, which is something I've always wanted to do. Things are going great and I'm fulfilling myself in so many different ways. And it's let me to this one particular thought- to pursue women or not to pursue women? Basically all I want to know is is it worth it to spend the time to pursue women when it's time that could be spent doing something you love? Sure I could go to bars by myself and work on talking to strangers and hitting on girls, but I've realized how frustrating it can be when I'm out alone. It's something I do need to work on, but I know that the time I spend out could be spent doing something I love. I don't want to neglect any part of my life that I find important. It's important to me to read and write music just as important it is to me to learn to be more social and how to approach women.

I'm struggling to figure out how to prioritize this in my life. I know I have a lot to offer the opposite sex and I would love to go on more dates, but there's so much personal stuff I want to do. TRP just has me confused on where I should put this in my life. Yes I want sex, but I know I shouldn't focus on that. In the end it feels like it's something that is extremely time consuming. I just don't know how to go about this. I know I have a lot of work to do on myself and I never want to stop with the self improvement. I'm not sure if I'm more men going my own way or what. Half the time I feel like I want to go talk to girls and half the time I think to myself I'm learning to neglect them anyways so what's the point. I feel so confused about this. What would your advice be to someone like me?
