Here's to you dad (sips vodka). You raised me and my sister on your own after mom left to fuck that other guy and smoke lots of drugs. You didn't do a great job, but considering the schizophrenia and paranoia I think you did the best you could. Seriously dad, thanks for not drowning us.

My dad was a fine example, really.

Did whatever the fuck he wanted until his mid 30s, then married a woman in her early 20s and proceeded to be a good provider and mentor to the kids but STRICTLY because it was what he wanted to do. On the rare occasion my mother tried to put up an irrational stink, he just laughed. Never raised his voice, never raised his hand, never stepped out on her -- but never needed to, either.

Now my brother and I maybe could have used more training from him regarding girls and sports, but that lack was because he didn't give a fuck about girls or sports and sent a more important message about being the best at what mattered to you.

I spent yesterday watching my father interact with my mother, who seperated from him 23 years ago (no divorce, no time for all that paperwork) after revealing that after the initial cheating she did on him at the start of their 20 year marriage, she went on to cheat on him an additional six times, leaving him for the sixth man (he strung her along for years and had no intention of leaving his own wife).

I watched me father give my mother attention and validation about whatever silly thing she has going on in her life. After everything, if she told him today that she would be willing to take him back, he would gratefully say yes.

The woman he fucks now is a walking swamp hog that I wouldn't fuck with a stolen dick.

I love the old man, and in a very important, if unintentional way, he's taught me a lot about relationships. But fuck, I can't even look him in the eye when he's around my mother.

Yeah. Thanks dad. For not being around except for the weekends. For letting my mom raise me to be the blueprint of a nice guy. For constantly talking down to me and fucking up my self-confidence. For teaching me to keep my mouth shut and not stand up for my believes. For never supporting me but punishing me if I failed. For letting me become the ultimate blue piller there ever was.

Happy Father's day to you Dad. You are not perfect and you have fucked up a few times. I wish you were there more in my childhood. Your not college educated but you are smart enough to land a job regardless. You are an amazing handyman and can fix anything. You maintain your frame and always recover from what life throws at you. When it comes to breakfast, you are nothing short of a god. Seriously, if I were to list my 100 favorite breakfasts I have ever had, you made all but 4. Anyways, if you raised me, I would have been much more alpha, never even come close to beta bucks. Your 3 times my age and (even though the ones I have seen are post wall) you are still pulling bitches. Your fuck ups have shown me almost everything not to do in life. Regardless though, you have shown me its possible to recover.

Happy Father's Day to you Grandpa. When we moved in with you and grandma, life was good. I'm not sure how old you are anymore, but you run marathons regardless. You defy all logic of "The human brain can know 150 people" with the number of people you know. Over a two week vacation to your home state, there was 1 person you didn't directly know or know the family of. We were all amazed. You do however, know them now.

Happy Father's Day to you, every adult from my Boy Scout Troop. When my Grandpa and Dad couldn't he there in my life, you were there every week from ages 11 to 18. In addition to everything I learned that boy scouts explicitly teaches, I learned how to socialize and make friends, and the discipline I need at that point in my life. You gave me my love of science that has not died today even. You took me away from the computer, taught me to love nature, and then let me have my cake and eat it to. You gave me the computer back and we played video games.

I love all of you and shudder at the thought of where I would be today if any of you were not in my life.

Happy fathers day Dad. When biomom flaked out, you fought for us, found a respectable woman to help, and kept us from devolving into completely useless humans. I learned to fight the family court system too and am grateful every day for your example. Rest in peace.

Don't get married and don't have children in the US. Kids tend to side with their mother. Fathers end up being child support checks after getting fleeced in family court. The US family court system rapes the productive male. Read the book "Men on Strike" by Dr. Helen Smith and just say no to marriage and reproduction. US women are spoiled by every facet of the American system, from Daddy, to hiring and promotion to the legal system. Forget it. Stay with your parents. Growing up is overrated.
