My experience- knew a guy with high smv (money, looks good) but beta-mind and married a nasty fat bitch. Went to a movie rental store (I'm old apparently) and one of the girls literally was like "get rid of her come fuck me instead"

Anecdotal, but it is what it is. She sees you fucking porky, and she'll want to take over

In my experience, they feel as though they have a competitive advantage over the girl. Surprisingly, it doesn't lower the man's SMV.

I've never had a problem with it. I just make it clear by my body language that I'm fucking this low SMV girl to empty my balls and I could get rid of her in 60 seconds. And/Or if the girl has been sweet to me, I will make her look good and then I just look magnanimous or some shit.

I would rate my girl as a 6/10 and I have had 8s show interest in me because of it. I would be interested to know at what point it's not an advantage. If you are with a girl who's a 2/10, fat and physically deformed, I doubt you can use her for preselection.
