Mostly out of curiosity. Also, it'd be good to gather some recommendations and get out of the youtube echo chamber, I'm getting sick of it.

I'm a fan of heavy metal, both 80's bands and new ones, though not much for classic rock. While party music is fun and all (reggaeton and happy hardcore are enjoyable), the entire subculture associated with it is disgusting. Same goes for what I know of rap and obviously pop.

There's something amazing about listening to a great heavy metal song and getting caught up in it, with chills and everything. Awesome albums for that are Abigail by King Diamond and Lateralus by Tool, if you're interested.
