I'm very ashamed to say that I'm allmost 30 years old and haven't managed to learn this skill.

We all meet assholes but it seems like I'm particular bad at dealing with them. It seems to me that I don't nip disrespect in the bud.

I keep falling in the same pattern where I meet some new guys, and they joke around in the beginning to see if I'm sensitive. I guess I'm trying to laugh everything off for too long, without giving shit back. The result is that usually some guys just take things farther.

I don't get too offended in the beginning, but after a while I don't enforce boundries I guess. I'm of course fine walking away from shitty people, but this is a repeating pattern for me. The worst thing for me is when I try to hang out with new guys, and they shit on me infront of people I've never met. And alot of times, I just agree to come off as easygoing and I understand after that I just took it.

This has been a repeating pattern for me. And for me I think its the one of the most important thing I'm missing to actually feel and behave like a masculine man. I'm spending too much time reflecting over this and alot of the time it ruins my mood when I think about the past.

So any tips for me? I think I'm trying too hard to come off as joking and happy when I meet new people. And thats often not the truth, usually I feel depressed and I try to play happy to gain some new friends.

I have been a loner for many years and struggling with learning the social game. Before discovering the red pill, I used to consider working in a library to minimize human contact. Atleast avoid dudes shitting on me. Soft and bitchy right? Yeah I know. But I decided I can't hide because of my percieved victimhood.

A good example is a situation that happened some years ago. I was rock climbing with my ltr at the time and this guy I called my friend at the time. They had barely met and he complimented her for being so flexible infront of me. I didn't like that at all, but I couldn't think of anything to say. A good friend isnt supposed to do that?

Anyway, this dude kept messing with me until I just stopped talking to him altogether. And once again, I felt that I had fu*ked it up and lost a friend. Maybe it could have been different if I knew how to set boundries. I've been working out for years and have a decent size. Alot of the times its smaller dudes that try to see if I'm sensitive. Or trying to break my frame. I usually don't try to dominate others since I hate when it happens to me. Maybe this is just a covert contract for me and I need to do it anyway.

Long post, but any tips for me guys?

I'm considering starting some martial art this autumn. After discovering the red pill, I of course went overboard and became an asshole when meeting new people, to get them before they get to me (very clear now in hindsight). Can't really say that worked for finding new cool guys to hang out with
