The acceptable process on the site is for new members to read the sidebar material before contributing. While I agree that this is a necessity-there is a lot of really good info there- I still feel that for someone entirely new to the manosphere, that No More Mr Nice Guy, by Robert Glover, should be read as the first introduction to red pill theory. The reason for this is that there is no better, or more balanced primer, to understanding what you are doing wrong in your relationships. Most of the men that stumble on the site are usually hurting in some way. Either through a bad relationship, or being unable to attract women. Perhaps they are tired of being the weakest man in the room , and they desperately need help in making a change. I know for me, that it was a real wake up call to realise that nearly everything I did in life was for the purpose of social validation by others. Within one week of reading the book I was on the way to recovery. Most importantly, I saw that the problem was with ME, not the world. To become a powerful man you must work on yourself. So much so that you have no time to moan about others. The problem with reading the sidebar materials is that you are given tons of eye opening, harsh truths. To see that you have been duped your whole life by teachers and the media is tough to swallow. I'm wondering if this is what is causing some of the bitterness we are seeing around here lately. It's so easy to wallow in a kind of bitter self pity. Time that could be spent fixing whatever aspect of your life you need to.

If you are struggling to come to terms with some of what you are processing here, or maybe don't believe in what is said, keep an open mind, and give this book a read. After that, maybe you will have a greater appreciation for the rest of TheRedPill.
