How do I get over guilt of leaving my loving girlfriend?

Just ended an LTR myself last night. I have a lot of mental hurdles (depression, anxiety) to get over and having someone around (loving or not) wasn't the way to fix myself.

I know it hurts now, but time heals all wounds, it's not just a saying. All I can say is that you need to focus on yourself and better yourself with every day because even you yourself said you're fighting depression. You will always have the longing for another human being, it's biological, but right now the only thing you need to be worried about is you, not a relationship.

you could only feel a sense of satisfaction in your life because of another person? wow. Reflect on that for a long time. You should examine the events in your life that led you to be so dependent. Secondly, if you were depressed the whole time you should have reevaluated what you were doing early on instead of numbing the stress with drugs which you probably are addicted to at this point without even knowing it. You have a big emotional gap in your life. You need to figure out how to heal your emotional losses before meeting your LTR and then figure out how you can make yourself better. It's a big task and you need to tackle it head on right now.

Jesus dude im sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what its like ending a 5 year LTR. I had to shut down a 4 month plate because she was trying to make me her BF and she didn't do anything wrong excpet fall in love with insatiable asshole.

She was gorgeous, great attitude, great sex, cooked for me, cleaned my apartment. She was wifey as fuck but I'm such an arrogant peice of shit I always think I can do better.

I still feel terrible and I think of her every day and I just hope she finds some beta bux loser to give her the house and kids she wants.
