It may be a little cliche, but think about it like this: there's your religion (re-legio, meaning reunion) and then there's church.
Re-legion is a grand, lifelong project of the self-actualized man. Always has been, always will be. It's about knowing how to die, and how to do so well, in a world that pretends it's gonna live forever and can do whatever it wants (and then is shocked & wholly unprepared, super-butthurt when it's time to die). Re-union in this grand old sense is like a slow process of putting a little chisel to your very spirit, your core self, and then slowly, painstakingly chipping away at it. Making it a little bit more perfect, a little more ready to die, if you can, even if it completely goes against basic self-interest and business sense in the "secular" world. It's a swim-against the current project most of the time, few people will understand what you're really up to.
On the other hand, Church is a place where men and women congregate to go through the motions. It's God's cute little kindergarden. The children gather, pretending they're all totally on that grand project too. Wave their toy chisels around proudly, draw with crayons and sing songs. We may be a little skeptical about all that, and even Jesus himself was plenty skeptical, as you know: "many are called, few are chosen" parables etc. But since it's hard to see with clarity into each one person's inner core, one can't really say church is useless or even have anything bad to say about all those who are obviously only going thru the motions. Maybe going through the motions is better than doing nothing at all, who knows. It all depends, depends on what's happening to that innermost part we can't see.
When you're a solid man on the grand re-legion path, you don't have to talk about it. Women feel it from you, it's a vibe that makes them feel safe, and wonderful, and fills their hearts with impossible amounts of love. Remember that rightly speaking, to her, you are Jesus Christ embodied. This is full on Red Pill gender relations. The man leads the woman, Jesus Christ leads the man. But for this to happen you need to make your religion a part of your whole being, not just some intellectual belief or fear. The Christian is not a submissive - he bears a sword. Although his many enemies would certainly like to disarm, defang him, any way they can do it, and make him submissive or full of confused fear.

The reason it feels weird is because religion is fake and deep down you know it.
You are living by someone elses fake rules, within their frame. You are living in Jesus' frame. You need to AMOG Jesus.
Check this out, kinda short amazing video about real life and religion. Not trying to be harsh just honest. https://youtu.be/Qfm0GCvsIVA

Yah it's its own red pill that's for sure.

Even if this is true you have to admit religion does have its usefulness

Usefulness of what? The fact that it is untrue makes it useless especially if you are trying to live your own life.

I thought God gave us free will? Doesn't that mean we can do whatever we want? If we choose righteousness and truth (tempered with humanity) then I feel like God's pretty alright with what we do.

Didn't jesus die for your sins? So do what you want to do and ask for forgiveness at the end. If your god exists then he programmed you the way you are so why fight yourself? There are 1000s of different Christian churches what makes you think the church you go to even teaches the right way?

Think of praying as a spiritual connection between you and God and even if you're top-tier alpha, nothing wrong with respecting the hierarchy and 'freely' submitting to the divine being at the top. It's not like you're praying and singing songs of worship 24/7 or going around preaching your ways on a nightout. Don't ever compromise your own interests or beliefs for some skank.

Following God and being Christian doesn't mean you're a pussy I'm not sure why you think that. Submissive is not the right word. The most devoted Christian guys I know are so red pill they don't even know and its because they have a deeper understanding of themselves and the ways of the world, aware of their shortcomings and vices. It takes a lot to put your ego aside and realize that God is the creator of the universe and that nothing can be done without him. Your are not God, when all else fails, when you are being judged, you can't expect anyone else to save you but yourself, hopefully this makes sense.
Christians worship God because they love him, they've developed a relationship with him. You're looking from the outside in. Of course it looks odd. You can't judge them and say they're submissive pussies for doing so. . It's not a transactional relationship. You don't become Christian to goto heaven, that's nonsense, you live a christian life ( a relationship with Christ) walk in Christ BECAUSE you love him. We love because he first loved us. This extends to everyone.
Look, I don't want to start an argument on weather god is real. Most people on Reddit, I'm not sure why, hate Christianity/God and constantly mock it so I would take advice here VERY loosely. Try speaking to a pastor or someone who is spiritually mature what's better is to read the bible. The internet is used for those who are lost in their faith. Everything can be explained to you through the bible and through prayer.
OP I suggest you join a small group or a prayer group.
Inb4 proselytizing.

Also, I don't want a woman to look at God like he's the real man in the relationship. I don't want her to look at anybody above me. Just being honest.

Then I feel guilty like I'm going to Hell.
This is the indoctrination at work. You feel like you're doing something wrong/bad by mere thinking about not needing god in your life.
I want to believe in God and I want to be a good Christian, but this submissive behavior makes me very uncomfortable and honestly it feels woman-like.
Belief in god doesn't have to be connected with the practices of the Church, because why would omnipotent god care about trivial things like that or treat it as more important then how you conduct your life?
a lot of the Bible's teachings are Redpill as fuck, so there's that.
So are the ones in the Koran.
I can find redpill teachings in Lord of the Rings or Star Wars, but that doesn't validate the movie or makes the movie better than a movie without them in it.
I really don't want to burn in Hell.
This is basically forcing obedience by using fear.
Really makes you think how wonderful being must god be if he was the author of this idea. Or perhaps it was not him that was the author but the priest who needed something to control his flock to follow the rules he wanted them to follow.
