Why can't you go out to clubs? I've been to Africa a few times, it's not dangerous and there are plenty of beautiful girls willing to dance with an American. Why spend your entire time there fucking the same types of American females you can fuck in your own country???

Give yourself more credit. You've identified the problem yourself, now you have to take steps to minimize it's effects on you. The best way to get over a girl is to get under several others. Are there other girls you can hook up with in a casual way?

You don't want to completely cut contact, because that's not practical for your situation. So you should switch your focus and minimize the interactions you have with her. One of the ways you can do this is to be honest with her - you probably won't see her after your studies are over anyway.

"Look, I think you're great, but I'm starting to like you more than I should, and it's distracting me from my studies and I'm not sure what to do about it. It just sort of happened and caught me off guard. What do you think?"

Maybe she can even give you some useful advice or suggestions or she might even be the one to suggest not seeing so much of each other. Or she might even be into you and suggest you two become fuck buddies. Who knows? But most likely she will not want to be around you as much, and if she is really cool she might even try to help you come up with solutions, so problem solved.

At least if she knows she has that effect on you she won't be hurt or confused when you want to spend less time with her.
