  • (Books) Laws Of Power, Leadership & Friendship are inviolable.
  • Know when to trust your instincts and when to override them.
  • Practice discipline, the ability to override instinct, religiously.
  • Life is best lived in a state of play. The optimal state of mind is fun.
  • Act and spend your time with conscious intent, even if it is to unwind.
  • Never let an hour pass without consciously choosing what to do with it.
  • The world is amoral, but actions have consequences & karma is a thing.

And the most important lesson I've ever learned: The power of routine.

Results and Performance are outcomes of Behavior, which is defined by Thoughts that arise from Feelings, rooted in Emotions propagating from your Physiology. Relevant Links: 1 2. Control your Physiology at all times. Exercise regularly, be on a strict diet permanently, always wake up and go to sleep at the same time - breathing, exercise, nutrition and sleep must be perfect. Meditation is not optional. Dedicate at least 3 hours per week to learning.

This is really fucking hard to do. I've struggled for years to get where I am now and still slip up sometimes, honing discipline by restraining your instincts and urges on a daily basis never gets easier. But eliminating fluctuation from the aforementioned lets you accurately identify / deal with stressors, detect / respond to even minor sicknesses such as flu early on and get inordinate amounts of work done.

And the most important lesson I've ever learned: The power of routine.

Bravo, well said. I myself follow a routine, but I never was aware it was considered a good thing. I'm always hard on myself for it. My routine is basically to go to the gym before or after work. Go to Trader Joe's and eat my lunch there. Chat up to any female and genuinely give her a compliment. Then MMA class. That's it, I tell myself not to spend much on unneeded things and save 80% of pay for travel.

Thing is with routine you have to give yourself reward to make sure it's all worth it imo. I'm doing all this because I've been training for the Spartan race Trifecta in Hawaii. Not only that I'm always planning vacation trips for myself to break away. If there's no reward for your routine you'll most likely start doubting why you're doing this. I appreciate for all this, I definitely took note.

The housewife I will beat.

The prolife I will kill.

What you won't do I will.

Here are my own. I'm here to learn and improve onto my own morals.

Never judge a person until you walk a mile in their shoes. I will never do that so I never judge any one I ever meet.

Don't let the fear of death stop me from doing anything.

When entering a new restaurant/food place ask the server what's his/her favorite dish and eat it.

Do things once at a time and have no other distractions but that one thing.

Embrace pressure, I actually love being put into stressful situations. Talking to a girl I never met? Fucking great. I know she's probably more nervous than me.

Listen to everyone's stories and genuinely connect. Learn from their mistakes and accomplishments and utilize history and people's stories to steer my path.

Don't rely on anyone, if you want something done prepare to do it solo. If help ever comes you better acknowledge them and appreciate them.

When I give my word, I better own up to it and never let anyone down. My word is the only thing I have.

Only buy things I need, fancy cars fancy clothes isn't what I need in this world. Invest in important things I know I will use for my whole life. I.e. fitness, intelligence, connections.

Social networks aren't a necessity, you want to impress your friends. Become the best you can be and then show them in person.

Never betray, never stray from who I really am, never get angry and always see the good in everything. The girls in my life I promised to always protect them, never deter from that.

My mother is the most important person in my life, she is priority. If she says I'm doing something wrong hear her out and understand, comply, learn from it.

Lifes short, have fun, and write everything about your life for your future family can see who you really were.

There's too much here, look to consolidate. Focus is an arrow, you want narrow so you can devote more of yourself to it.

My routine is very simple: think of what I don't fucking want to do today, I then cry tears of anger and do it. Then everything else falls into place, just like routine! It's a domino effect, once the hardest is toppled, everything is easy!

I love what you said about the waiter's favourite food though lol, gotta try that

All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.

T. E. Lawrence - The Seven Pillars of Wisdom.

Don't waste time daydreaming about the man you want to be. Go out and make yourself that man.

Maximize free time with the aim of personal growth and/or enjoyment and refuse to let anyone else shame me for doing so.

Will this make me happier when done? The next day? The next week?

[–]MasterMH0 points1 point2 points 11 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

If I shake your hand I will not lie to you, I may not tell the whole truth - but I will never lie.

Got it from an old guy I used to talk to at the bus stop, he used to talk about businesses and people. Kept telling me to never lie after shaking hands and it's stuck. It's worked VERY well for my reputation.

This is fantastic, and I wholeheartedly agree. The biggest asset is not hard work or talent, but reliability!

It's not about how hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
