Any tips for house parties?

Roll with at least couple of girls(good looking) to the party. They are going to be your pivot or winggirls (no need to tell them)

Then introduce yourself to almost everyone. "Hey how do you know the host?"

if you know the host closely (i.e. best friend) then chances are you know majority of the crowd... then act as the host yourself (Are you guys having fun?).

Be cool instead of trying to out alpha everyone.

5 minutes with every group or so... you'll build a presence in the room. Get numbers from both guys and girls, build your own social circle.

From this social circle, you take cool crowd and then invite them to another cool party (this is how you build social circle of cool ppl - that's whole another story)

Don't pedestalize the party. A lot of people are going to parties 2-3 times a week so this is gonna be a lot less of a big deal to them.

Go in with the attitude of having fun. Don't just try to pull all night.

Talk to as many people as possible but be natural about it. People can and will notice how hard you're trying if they see you just introducing yourself to everyone. It's definitely noticeable depending on the setting and size of the party.
