What are your thoughts on women who choose their careers over raising their young children?

"Good for her"

A career driven women is a great fuck buddy in your 20s, but stay away in your 30s. She will hit the wall and start to implode without children to focus her effort into.

Be careful with your assumptions. Two college educated adults could easily have 200k in student loans. People who want new cars, vacations, etc need money and single income may not be enough.

I gave considerable thought to this when my ex-wife and I were trying to conceive. Emphasis on "ex." I plan on being a father, so I have no time for a woman who doesn't want to be a mother. I should caveat this by saying she demonstrated over a long period that her job would always be primary in her life.

It depends, I live outside of DC and I make good money but being a sole earner isn't ideal. My wife works but she is a school teacher on a 194 day contract. The day care we go to is awesome and every time I pick him up he is having a ton of fun playing with the other kids.

Also, a lot of women have to go to work because they can't afford to stay home. Just keep that in mind.
