I recently saw a comment posted on TRP with regards to how men have been conditioned to regard women as delicate flowers. I forget which thread I saw it under, but it did encourage me to think just exactly the kind of parallels that exist between a woman and a flower, even though they're not necessarily as delicate as we've been brought up to believe over the course of our youth. Between a pretty woman and a pretty flower, they (1) are aesthetically pleasing, (2) smell nice, and (3) feel great when you stick your penis in them at the right spot. There's another parallel that men and boys at large have not been traditionally brought up to consider.

In two seconds, think of the kind of flower that would be typically compared to a woman.

You thought of a rose, didn't you?

I'm no botanist, but I did listen to my fair share of Poison when I was a kid. Roses have thorns. You try to handle one with reckless abandon, you're going to get pricked. Even if you're as careful as you can possibly be, you run the risk of hurting yourself simply by physically partaking in the natural beauty of a rose.

The same thing is often said of women. Today's dating culture leaves the majority of men trying to handle these roses and they have nothing to show for it but the pain they've suffered. However, unlike actual roses, the pain that manifests in picking up women can hurt a man more than just physically. We've all heard the horror stories or perhaps we've experienced them first hand; tales of emotional wreckage, financial destruction, loss of self-wellness, violation of trust – I could go on but we all have a good idea how women can fuck with men.

That is, unless we protect ourselves.

Imagine a person that has experience in handling roses. They have equipment that works in their favor to mitigate, if not eliminate, harm to themselves. Gardening sheers and shovels help to sever the rose's connection to the ground, and gloves are used to handle the rose in it's transition to its new destination. These tools are not only useful in managing roses but also have a valuable role to play for gardeners or other managers of plant life. Need to pull weeds? Trim hedges? Manage some poison ivy? Your tools of the trade will help you get the job done.

Just like groundskeeping, you want to protect yourself in your interactions with not only women, but anyone you desire to have a positive relationship with. To the guys that have been pricked before, I know you don't want that shit again. Your gloves come in the form of the knowledge on how to handle a shit-test, coping with hamstering, and maintaining your frame. However, these roses will never grow if you do not cultivate the environment in which they appear. Much like how a gardener needs to sow seeds, water the plant site, and gets plenty of sunlight; a red piller makes his roses grow by lifting weights, taking up exciting hobbies, and developing his interpersonal skills with other human beings.

In the world of TRP, you are the groundskeeper to your own yard, so to speak. Philosophy discussed here (and especially the material in the sidebar) are your tools. It's your job to maintain your yard with them. Keep yourself protected when handling your roses, because a nasty little prick can break your hold and cause them to slip from your grasp. Trim your hedges, mow your lawn, and keep your garden in place – they're often the first things your neighbors will notice when they set foot on your property and it shows how much you care about keeping your appearances. Kill that poison ivy off, because all that nasty shit growing on your turf has a habit of infecting you and your hard work if it's not properly managed.

Putting in the work is what gets your neighbors telling you what a nice looking yard you have and before you know it, your dick will be in a flower.
