I've always been an emotionally expressive guy. Probably too feminine insofar as expressiveness is concerned. After a year of TRP and hardcore daygaming and dating, I realize that a sticking point in my developing masculinity is my emotional nature and emotional expressiveness (I think girls get turned off by a guy showing excitement).

I stumbled upon an interesting quote, and I believe about 60% of it but it speaks to the importance of stoicism in a man.

"Men generally speaking want sex and at some point in their lives, perhaps a family so that they continue their genetic lineage. Women however need men for their rational minds and stoic consistency. Women need men to emotionally stabilise them and “be the rock in her storm,” as well as serve as a conduit which allows her to “feel complete.” Just look at single mother households and all the older women who are single, they are miserable. These women need a man to be happy, men do not need women to be happy, men need sex to be happy. A bachelor is a happy guy, a so-called bachelorette on the other hand is not."

How do I transform from an emotional, expressive man, to a STOIC man?
