Shit Tests 101 has a good definition of Shit Test. Anything that isn't an ST is a normal question.

However, even normal questions should be RP opportunities. Maybe they aren't STs, but they are a change to demonstrate frame, establish/reinforce boundaries, instill mild dread, etc.

In short for me is anything that a woman does to get an emotional reaction.

It could be non verbal like acting annoyed or disinterested.

Normal communication (such as man to man convo) has no underlying agenda designed to secretly test the other man's fitness and true social status.

Women shit test men and they shit test each other. Most of their communication IS designed to secretly run various catty power plays and/or test for fitness.

When a woman flakes out on you (without even saying anything), that's a shit test for sure, because you can bet she's sat there twirling her hair, with a wistful fucking look on her angelic face, lips curling in a cruel little smileeee, as she thinks about it. A part of her fucking knows. She knows exactly what she's doing, but it will NEVER be admitted, as that would often be social suicide.

Instead women are perfectly content with not even admitting their own crooked ways to themselves. Shit testing is both a challenge, and an opportunity: when you pass with flying colours, it drops your "business card" straight into the woman's unconscious, and she starts wanting your business... Without ever admitting to herself exactly why.

Normal communication is an exchange of information. It is straight and to the point. There is no subtext, power struggle or implication in what is being said. Everything is surface level communication, what is being said is what is being meant, that and nothing else. Eg: What time do you finish work? How much does X cost?

Shit tests are designed to test your confidence. They're not always questions. Sometimes they are just blanket assertions which are designed to push you into a state of reactivity which reveals information subtextually about you.

I'll give you an example of a common one girls use. "Hahahaha X is one of those player guys you can tell!"

They will usually look at you after saying this kind of thing to gauge your body language as well to get a better read on your frame.

Alpha response: "Sounds like you've got an eye for talent." Strong eye contact or aloofness.

Beta response: "I would never dream of stringing a girl along!" and starts qualifying how "he's not like that" Shaking slightly, eyes widening etc.

Nuclear shit tests:

Nuclear shit tests are designed to take your reaction not by probing your psyche with words, but with actions that would typically be expected to offend/hurt/disrespect you. You're with a girl and you've hooked up a few times. She's a plate pushing for commitment but you haven't given in. You're both out at the club and she starts grinding on another guy. She's doing this to make you jealous and get you to force your hand. She's basically using dread game, trying to get you to commit to her by being a whore. Dread game when used by women is a nuclear shit test. How do you pass this shit test? Go talk to other girls, when it inevitably comes up later she was grinding be like "oh yeah, cool" (signifies you don't care) or "you can do what you're like we're not exclusive" etc etc

Shit tests come in many shapes and sizes. Generally most of the time people say something in a negative light about you it's a shit test. Shit tests are confidence tests/value tests.

There are loads of way to beat shit tests, some methods are more suited for particular situations than others.

Ways to deal with shit tests:

When a woman is being hysterical, reductio ad absurdum aka agree+amplify helps highlight her absurdity while maintaining an amused air, hence beating the shit test. An example is when a woman loses her shit and goes "You men are all the same! You're just pigs who think with your cock!" and you respond "Yeah, I'm a cloned pig with a cock for a brain, you're so right!"

Amused/Spin is like a pressure flip without the pressure, so you reinterpret what is being said to make you look good even though it was intended to make you look bad. This is better for when women/people are not being hysterical but are trying to fight you for dominance/denigrate you/amog.

"Hahaha this guy here thinks he's a wise guy"

"Don't get jealous it's unattractive"

Pressure flips are good for when someone is trying get you to say something/answer a question or do something. You remove the focus from yourself in the interaction and you put it on them. A pressure flip is basically a deflection.

Tim: "If you're so good at getting girls go over there and make out with that chick"

"Hey look there's a moldy piece of orange on the floor, maybe Tim can practice his kissing skills on it."

See now the pressure is on tim to defend himself, rather than you. That's all a pressure flip is, it is the application of the adage "attack is the best form of defence."

It doesn't matter! In every bit of communication one can produce the expected, trite, boring, submissive answer or one can take charge of the situation with a dominant or playful answer.
