So I have known this girl since first year at university. I was such a beta orbiter back then and she got in a relationship due to girls being practically the arabic language to me. Fast forward to third year now. She broke up with him recently. We start talking, texting, hanging out more. I prove to her i am more confident (thanks to trp and other milestones) and she even admits it. Come friday night (around 8 pm, mind you, not too late) when i ask an innocuous question of whether she went to a university event or not (i told her i may go too) and i get no response which is uncharacteristic.

So yeah of course I just wait till she initiates conversation. Here is the dilemma though. We eat dinner once every week and havent missed any since. Usually I or she asks when and where and its done. Its already thursday and neither of us initiated.

Do i ask her to dinner or continue radio silence? If I dont initiate a convo I will appear hurt by her not responding. If I do take her out, I will just be going back to my old ways of crawling back to her.

Yes i know i am overthinking this and yes i admit she is a oneitis. She has value so she isnt worth "nexting" completely.
