New to TRP, so excuse my ignorance. No link because the rules told me not to.

Just read a post on r/AskWomen where they list the "Top Ten" things they look for in a man. Confidence, money and physique/appearance are barely mentioned. Even with out applying TRP the lists these ladies come up with seem ridiculous. I realize some of them are meant to be kind of joke-y but a lot of them seem dead serious. It's like they don't even know themselves. This is the top list in the comments.

  • Likes copious amounts of physical affection.
  • Is unafraid to have new experiences in food and environment.
  • Laughs a lot.
  • Can take a ribbing.
  • Can give a ribbing while not taking it too far.
  • Is kind and caring even to strangers.
  • Shares about half of my interests, but no more.
  • Is curious about the world around them.
  • Can hold conversations about world processes and is willing to admit what they don't know.
  • Can hold mature arguments without getting dirty or crazy.

Not horrible, I guess, but that's 6 - 10 type of stuff.

I've read about hamstering and resolving dissonance but it just blows my mind that women have such a disparity between what they say and how they act. Even on a fairly anonymous internet community.

I don't know. Sometimes I don't explain stuff very well. Just seemed a little crazy to me.
