Is pick up the same as getting a GF?

So here's my dilemma, I was never good at "sport fucking". Historically I'm a gf kind of guy.

But I want to just bang a lot of girls, but my game "in my head" is geared toward getting a GF.

So my question is: are the two strategies different? Or is banging a lot of girls just taking the "GF game" I currently have and then just not making these girls my GF
