I've read through TRP's reading material and didn't know how to apply it to this situation. So... advice?

You don't need to dump her over something like this at all. Obviously you are offended, but you made that clear to her. Don't back down or apologize for calling her out, she seemed to deserve it. Instead just drop it now. If she brings it back up say something like "are we still talking about this?" Other than that, find a good way to stop caring about it. It really isn't a big deal and you can't ever expect to have a serious successful LTR if something this small makes you search for advice on the internet.

Go exercise, hang out with you bros, or even meet some new ladies.

Best not to react at all. Give it time. NEVER fight over text. If she is still pissed a day later then you should be worried. If she was in the wrong she will feel like shit and apologize. The most powerful thing a man can do is not react or walk out. Replying with a mean or immature response lowers you in her eyes as well as your own. Don't play her game play the mans role and be mature.

I look on arguments over text as worthless. She'll accuse, you'll defend, she'll dodge, and it'll go on and on until she knocks you out of frame and gets you mad, which it sounds like what happened.

When you realize that pretty much all disagreements come down to one thing: she's upset with something you did and is trying to get you not to do it/to do it/whatever, and is testing you to see if you're going to stand firm on it.

Once you realize that what you're really watching is a fool's show of rage, poking, prodding... anything she can do to get you mad and get you to give up, you can take a step back and view it from another perspective.

Laugh, ignore her, pass the shit testing in some other way.

This is why text is so bad. There is almost no way to pass a shit test over text.

She was sarcastic and worded the text in a way that intentionally made me sound like a dick, just to make me sound like a dick.

You should have ended the conversation then.

You could have done the calmly calling her out next time, a day or so later.

Underlying problem: Too much texting! Texting is for handling logistics (where/when) and answering direct questions. If you need to communicate anything else, then just call her or do it in person.

Texting is bad at communicating emotional content. Use it sparingly when interacting with women.

You were acting better than her and calling somebody out for being rude and disrespectful is not "mean." What was her point? Don't back down. Calmly explain that you are not the type of man that accepts being disrespected like that from his lovers and let it drop forever. Ignore and tease if she brings it up again.
