If you're struggling to find the courage to ask a girl out you haven't understood the basic concept of the TRP. This girl, like you, like me, like every other person on the planet. Is. Not. Special. Asking her out does not have dire consequences or magical implications. It has one of two possible answers: Yes, or No. The "I don't care" attitude is not an act, it is simply an acknowledgment of the fact that this encounter is not special just like she is not special. If you want to ask her out just do it. If you have to ask how to be "nonchalant" you can never be nonchalant.

There should be no notion of worry or care if she rejects you in your mind. As it appears there still is, if you get into a relationship with her, it would likely turn rotten because I can see you developing oneitis for her.

I would say work on really not giving a shit about the outcome. Once you know you can deal with rejection as though it is just a raindrop on your shoulder you wouldn't even need to ask this question.

I agree with others with not shitting where you eat. But for when you see the next girl you find attractive (you're at college, there are hundreds of women around!), when you are lying on your deathbed, do you think the reaction from this girl is going to matter in your life? If she says no, even in the most harshest way possible, do you think it will register as a major event in your life?

Like others have said, you're still worried about consequences. You are being outcome-dependent. Enlightenment comes when you realize you don't care what she says when you ask. Yes? Let the good times roll. No? No worries. You live in a world of abundance and you know there will always be more women. You can always tell when an RP follower talks the talk but then gets butthurt when the girl says no--she's a bitch, she doesn't know what she's missing, she's stupid-- this is something a confident man would never feel: hurt by a woman's response.

That said, I don't ask a girl out until I've gone through the proper steps of escalation and attraction-building. You should have a pretty good idea if she's attracted to you before you even ask. Have you flirted? Have you invaded her personal space? What was her response? Did you get her # so you could study together? By the time I'm up to nonchalantly saying "Let's go get some coffee" or "Hey come get dinner with me tonight" -- she's already in a good mood and ready to say "ok!" without thinking about it or worrying whether it's a "date" or not. All she knows is she likes being around a fun, confident man who is in control of his life.

She's your lab partner? You can already make conversation with her, without needing a high pressure date. Just talk about life, stuff, fun, etc.

Eventually a specific date idea will pop up. If she agrees to the idea, just suggest a time to go together. In college, there should be tons of fun shit happening. As a fun guy, you should be regularly doing fun things that you can involve girls in.

And stay away from seduction or pick-up artist crap.

If not then take her out for coffee

If so... set up a later date.

Honestly tho id wait for the end of the semester in case things go sour
