I posted at asktrp the other day but this may be a better stop.

My sister has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer and it isn't looking good. She has two kids 5 and 3 and I don't know what we are going to do. They are heavily co dependent on her and she knows it.

I am a late 20s virgin, I have minimal life experience and I just finally moved out of home 2 months ago to go start my life in London. Started studying for my first real job as I've been stuck at home due to family obligations my whole life. Finally felt happy but now this is happening. My first immediate thought was "I'm going to have to take on these kids".

Their dad is around but the kids have zero emotional connection to him. There is a language barrier, he is incredibly beta and has zero emotional intelligence, he is likely to be unable to stay due to brexit and the kids have learning difficulties as it is without having to move to Italy. They won't be able to deal with it without their mother. He also has no job currently.

The best idea I can think of is splitting support between me, their father, my brother and my other sister. My brother recently had twins to a green card seeking gold digger who is getting ready to ride the CC around Europe. He is very beta and can't figure his own shit regarding what to do for his kids and how he's going to care for them, never mind this new situation.

I'm just overwhelmed by all of this, I don't know what I should do. The 5 year old boy feels comfort from my brother and I am the 3 year old girls rock. But I don't know where to go from here. They can't just go off to Italy as they've spent time there and mentally deteriorated because of it. The father won't support them properly, they need me and my siblings.
