Brand spanking new.

A marriage of less than a 3 years is finally coming to an end. We have a two year old together. She has been seeing another older, less accomplished man for at least a year now. Stupidly stayed in this sham of a marriage for the child's sake. After watching Terrence Popp's Back Burner Blues video and reading the literature on the sidebar, it all makes sense now.

Beta-me rolled over and took it from my wife slowly but surely as our marriage fell apart. "Good Guy" me in denial thought it was just a rough patch and that we could work it out somehow. Also naively thought "my wife would never cheat on me." I thought she was bluffing. I bet against her past and her biology and lost.

She can't afford a lawyer so she wants to keep it amicable. I can if I tapped my families wealth. I know she feels some guilt about her actions but is adamant about it being justified. She has self image issues and extremely jealous of other women in the presence of her husband.

My brother-in-law saw this coming and other family members on my side warned me of her but "she's in love with me" so I neglected action. To be honest, I knew it was a mistake since her jealousy fits and thought I could placate her if I simply averted my eyes. If we watch something and a sex scene or lightly clothes female were to make an appearance, I would also be blamed for picking a show because I "knew this scene was in there." My sister even noticed this outburst when we had a movie night at my parents house watching an innocent Tom Hanks film.

I'm just glad to be out of there but a bit heartbroken still at the confirmation of her betrayal. I grew to love her and became accustomed to walking on eggshells but she kicked me out after demanding a divorce and I finally gave in 3 weeks ago. Talk about Stockholm syndrome + being a huge pussy on my part. I was an alpha when we met and that's what she fell in love with, but marriage and her insecurity did a number on me. Excuses, excuses.

So far, we are being agreeable to each other for the sake of our child and she says she does not want to fuck me in the divorce. I suspect because I was the good gene guy and her new guy is the good dad guy. I know she feels some guilt but maybe that's just my projection. While filling out the paperwork, she grabbed my hand and said "we can still be friends right?" Yeah uh-huh.

I'm trying to be as civil as possible with her for our child and my own sake. This is a very confusing time. I knew I wanted to divorce for a while but she's also the mother of my child.

Today, after she dropped her off, she was yammering about me feeding her before taki
