(Check my history for the context of my situation. Tl;dr: Wife currently wants divorce but isn't in a hurry to leave.)

My wife has been in sex-denial mode for over a month, with her reasons ranging from "I don't feel comfortable with you" to "It's too soon". Last night, however, we both had drinks (neither of us were really drunk, but we were both somewhat impaired) and after putting the kids to bed, I initiated and she didn't reject. It was starfish, but I was just sober enough to remember some of the pointers from SGM and MMSLP. I went completely animalistic on her and she really seemed to enjoy it, though her actual participation was passive. It wasn't a long session (it has been a while, after all), but you'd have sworn my life depended on it. When I was done, I tossed her clothes at her and told her to get dressed (she did) and I pulled her over to sleep on my chest.

Today, things are back to normal. It feels like a positive sign, but I'm not sure. Regardless, I'm continuing on with 'business as usual' in my path to self-improvement and I plan to try again tonight, sans alcohol. If she rejects me, then whatever. I'll go out for a bit. It doesn't bother me anymore.

What do you guys think? How big of an element is alcohol in situations like these? Should I avoid reading into it?
