There was this Michelle Obama quote I saw recently that felt pretty red pill in a way most women these days don't tolerate well. When asked about how they achieve equality in their marriage she said,

"Clearly, Barack's career decisions are leading us. They're not mine; that's obvious. I'm married to the President of the United States. I don't have another job and it would be problematic in this role. So that--you can't even measure that."

I love this specific quote and try to apply a similar mentality to my relationship.

I always thought of Julie Andrews as a poised, feminine lady, but thats mostly based on the movies I've seen her in and know 0% about her life as a real person.

There are probably a lot of female celebrities identifying feminism because right now it could be a career death sentence to be openly anti-feminist even if they aren't really that serious about feminist views they espouse. I kind of take the stance that with highly public couples there is no way to know for sure how things go behind closed doors because most of what we learn about them is heavily filtered through impression management at levels way beyond what normal people do.

I love Angela Lansbury's character on Murder She Wrote. She's widowed, so it's not an example of how to behave in a relationship, but it's a lovely example of how a woman can be confident and assertive while still being warm and feminine.
