Ladies, if you have fair/sensitive skin how do you maintain your eyebrows?

The whiteheads you are experiencing have more to do with your skin rather than a specific method of hair removal. You are removing the hair, allowing the space it previously filled to instead possibly fill with sebum and oil. Most likely, no matter what method of temporary hair removal method you select and what shade or type of skin you have, you can have this issue.

Consider going to a derm/esthetician to have the current whiteheads extracted. Head to r/asianbeauty and r/skincareaddiction to determine the chemical exfoliant that will work best for you and how to use it... azaleic acid and mandelic acid are two of the gentler ones that are sensitive/irritated skin friendly. Read about alpha/beta hydroxy acids, salicylic acid/2.5% benzoyl peroxide, witch hazel/apple cider vinegar. Also look into how hydrocolloid bandages work. Then, read up about the importance of patch testing.

A few basics.. -Your skin has a surface layer called the acid mantle. A healthy one is acidic (low pH) comprised of sebum, oils, and sweat. An unhealthy one is basic (high pH) and characterized by dryness and tightness, or a really acidic (very low pH) that is too oily with acne. -Overexfoliation happens due to use of lemon juice, baking soda, St. Ives apricot scrub, too much manual exfoliation (scrubbing too much with anything abrasive) or too much chemical exfoliation. Generally, chemical exfoliation is less damaging than manual exfoliation when done responsibly. Overexfoliation causes irritated, dry, inflamed skin and is worse than underexfoliation because it implies damage that takes a long time to heal. -Exfoliation is important to encourage dead skin cells to loosen and kindly GTFO of the skin so sebum/sweat don't get trapped underneath and cause breakouts. It also helps to lower skin pH and ensure a healthy acid mantle. -Most important components of skincare are a low pH cleanser, a moisturizer, and SPF.

Once you are confident in your selections, head to r/asianbeautyexchange. Use the search feature to find the products you're interested in and purchase some decanted samples from the kind users there.

Buy yourself an acne extraction tool. Make an appointment to get whiteheads extracted, then ask the derm/esthetician to teach you how to extract whiteheads with your newly purchased tool. Research. Purchase some hydrocolloid bandages and an acid. Apply responsibly :)

You get white heads from threading?? I get them from waxing so I was going to sugggest threading...that is simply wild. Maybe you could try shaving them with one of those personal facial razors? It wouldn't be incredibly precise but I use them for tidying the area above the brow.

Here is the video that introduced me to those razors (definitely use the brand she recommends, not another one). Also if you want to cross-post this question in that sub, /r/femininenotfeminist then you may get more helpful answers. It's a sister sub to RPW that is all beauty, all the time....I have to imagine there would be a user or two there that have experienced this. Good luck!!

Get 2.5% benzoyl peroxide gel and put it on where you get whiteheads. I have bad acne and this works for me. Irritation causes acne for those with sensitive skin, so make sure you are as gentle as possible. Treat your skin delicately. If I'm not mistaken, the benzoyl peroxide forces the pore open so that oxygen can penetrate it; the combination of a collapsed pore and bacteria causes acne. An open pore can't get blocked, and the bacteria can't thrive in an oxygenated environment. The higher concentrations of benzoyl peroxide aren't more effective, but it does cause more irritation. My skin was dry and flaky for a few weeks after I started, but now Im almost clear everywhere after less than a month.
