Grace is a woefully underappreciated characteristic in today's world. It is also one of the most feminine traits a woman can have; it encompasses gratitude, respect, and kindness. I think now is a good time to discuss how to be more gracious! The article I linked lists 10 ways to be more gracious:

  1. Being gracious is someone who is humble and desires to praise others.
  1. Someone who is gracious would never seek out to embarrass another person deliberately.
  1. A gracious individual is quick to say ‘thank you’ for even the smallest gesture.
  1. Listening to the other person more than talking about yourself is gracious characteristic.
  1. Not “one upping” someone or being spiteful is considered being gracious.
  1. A gracious person makes a point of paying attention to others.
  1. Consciously being mindful to say what is appropriate is a gracious choice.
  1. A gracious person seeks out ways to make others feel comfortable and appreciated.
  1. Being gracious means knowing you are not indispensable and respects everyone’s contribution.
  1. To be gracious is to recognize the good in everyone and every situation as the first option.

I saw these 10 ways posted in another article a long time ago and saved the list to my desktop to look at each morning. To me, grace is something that can be taught and learned from an early age - but it's something that we're lacking as a society due to poor parenting and entitlement. Grace, to me, is something that defines a good woman - in itself, it is a single-word descriptor for a woman who honors her partner, shows respect for those around her, and makes a concerted effort to be a positive influence on the world around her.
