This has been a constant source of tension in our relationship and I feel like I'm making things worse, I'm not sure how to handle things. My fiancé is on a weird sleep schedule, he's a student right now so he usually stays up all night, goes to sleep sometime around 10-11, and sleeps until 5-7pm. It doesn't really bother me much because I work evenings til 10-11 pm, so he's up when I get home, we spend a few hours together before I go to bed. Here's the thing, we have a studio apt. He's great about it when I'm sleeping, he just stays on his computer and is quiet. But on my days off I get up a few hours after he's gone to bed. I want to watch TV, cook clean etc. sort of noisy things. He tells me "don't worry about me just do them," but of course I'm not going to put on TV when he's 8 feet away laying in bed. Eventually after he's been asleep 7-8 hours, I try to wake him up. We just got in a bit of a fight, because he wasn't ready; I've gotten better about just working around his sleep schedule but honestly it's a little irritating. I feel like there's just a very limited window of time that either of us can be productive and do chores, because one of us is sleeping at any given time except 7pm- 2am, and that's when I like to wind down for the evening. I don't want to force him to change his schedule, but it's so hard with such a tiny space. I feel so anxious and my nerves are shot because I was a nag and woke him up and he's in a mood now. Is this something I should let go and just hope resolves itself? Or try to urge him to sleep differently? Or like what do I do? Am I getting upset about something dumb? Sorry I just need to vent here about it, because if I don't, I'm going to want to bitch to him and that will just make things worse.
