RPW Movie Night: What are some great movies/documentaries/TV shows that are worth watching?

I enjoyed "Divorce Corp." (Netflix)

There's also "Addicted To Sexting" (Netflix).

"First Position" (Netflix, follows young ballet dancers, both male and female).

I also want to watch "Dear Zachary: Letter to a son from a father" or something like that. I have only read that it's very powerful and that you should be ready to cry. I have not read any reviews because I want to avoid spoilers.

There is another documentary about a woman that goes underground as an illegal immigrant and she goes to work as a cleaner in a whole house. She films with a specially outfitted set of glasses. I will try to find the title again as it was interesting and worth watching. I want to say that it was made by BBC...

"Love Me" takes a look at the mail order bride business and the men that seek them out. Very interesting.

Currently watching "Dior and I" which is very interesting so far (I enjoy watching designer/fashion focused shows that let you go 'behind the scenes' to see how things come together).

For movies and TV shows:

"Call the Midwife"

"The Paradise"

"Amelie"

"The Cobbler"

"Cruel Intentions"

"Tokyo Fiancee" (this is my least favorite on the list, but it was an interesting exploration due to the cultural obsession aspect)

"Spanglish" (I believe this is available on Amazon)

There are also several documentaries about women that work as virtual webcam girls in order to make money, and another about the porn industry and what it's like for young women that 'want to be independent' so they run away from home (generally small towns) seeking fame and fortune.

Personally, I love the Donna Reed Show. She's always cheerful and puts me in a good mood before work. The first 5 seasons can be seen for free on Hulu. There are actually a lot of shows from the 50s up on there to watch for free if that's your thing.

I really like Girl 27, about the MGM coverup of a movie extra who was raped, but I really enjoy anything old Hollywood. The shit they did and got away with is intriguing.

Honestly Gilmore Girls is what my roommate and I have been watching a lot of lately. We like to point out what Rory does right (prioritizing family and school, not worrying about popularity, staying modest and not slutting it up) and her mistakes (branch swinging to Jesse, asking out guys in college). My roommate isn't a part of this community but she's pretty naturally red pill.

Lorelai's a mess though.
