160 guys in my chapter. Top house full of douche bags and fake friendships. Fun to party with though. Not a cohesive house. Lots of cliques and internal problems.

Hang out with 5-10 guys. Truly friends with 3.

Also on a sports team full of douche bags and truly friends with 5 guys.

Have a lot more friends in other houses or not affiliated.

My best friend is in a fraternity. Some of his craziest stories are from when he's with them and he always seems extremely happy to see them.

But, I know for a fact that if he ever gets married, none of those guys are going to be up there as his groomsmen and very few of them will even get invited.

Sounds like you need to really work on socializing with people, they are different. Learn to at least understand them to the point that you could see yourself doing those things if given the kind of upbringing they had.

People usually have a douchey exterior but are soft inside.

Most people are just acting cool.

Old guy here. Had a 60+ chapter and was really only friends with 5 to 10. 4 close friends in it. Avoided frat parties like the plague my last couple years, started having my own house parties with much better results. Frats attract the worse dudes honestly, guys who would never have friends otherwise or who are drunk douchers, don’t sweat it.

Whether you're a freshman in high school or 60+ it all comes down to rule number one:

Medicine = Self Improvement Side Effect = Hot Bitches

You may be tempted to emulate those frat bros, because, let's be honest some sorority girls are hot n' ready like lil' Caesar's pizza. If you want some random pussy, emulating those guys may work to some degree. But to put it into perspective, no guy whose wealthy or fucked all the hot bitches was ever the most popular guy in their frat. Also, the day after you graduate, women don't give a fuck how popular you were in college.
