Probably due to the fact the society teaches that women are objects to be owned/controlled by men & why would they want their property to have ambitions outside of existing to serve them (men)?

Because a woman is valued by her looks according to men. I admire ambition in women. Looks are nice, but it is better to focus on personal fulfillment, financial success, and making the world a better place. I like to look good but if that's all I focused on I'd be a shell of myself.

I don't think it's just a stereotype or even just biology. I think men want to feel more powerful, and having a women who is less successful gives you more control. I think it's very intentional, and meant to block women as a whole from reaching their full potential.

I once talked to a man on OLD who became irate when I told him I didn’t appreciate him turning the conversation sexual because this was literally our first conversation. He went off the rails and told me that men don’t care about our degrees or success. They only care about our looks. I believe him.
