So, this recommendation is for the OLD app, Hinge. (I know there are other apps and I'm sure this strategy could be applied there, as well.) Hinge is just the one I use since I like it. :)

In your Settings of Hinge, set your Location as a city at least 1 hour away from you. You can adjust the search radius as you like, but it must be at least 1 HOUR AWAY. You can go up to 2-4 hours away. The key is within driving distance, but not so far your match would have to fly.

(Hey, you can try a location that far, too - I've had men fly to meet me multiple times... but I personally want my partner to live within a few hours drive time.)

This will help you eliminate 9/10 guys who are just looking for a hookup, as we know they won't drive over an hour.

The sweet bonus is this strategy adds a little intrigue and mystique to you. Who doesn't love the idea of a (somewhat) distant match?...

If your match asks, "why did we match in different cities?"...

"Oh, I'm in ABC Town actually."
