This is the core meme where feminists go off the rails.

Yes, when feminism was at its infancy there was not equal opportunity for women. After a large portion of a century of agitation for change, feminists have achieved their goal. Women now have all the opportunity that men have. It is time for them to to pack up and just live the life they have created for themselves and all women.

They must realize that equal opportunity is not guarantee of equal outcome. Outcome is solely based on input, like it always has been. That means women must accept responsibility for the outcome of their efforts. If their efforts are weak, there will be a weak outcome. If their effort is strong, there will be a strong outcome and benefit to them.

Weak efforts are molded by the choices women make. If they choose a demanding career for the big bucks, status, or whatever, they must compete on the level playing field as equals with men. No corporate arbiter of promotions gives a tinker's damn about female excuses or "not fair" whining. That is what children do, not captains of industry.

When women take the hard road in a career, that means they have chosen to give up being a mother, or personally raising their kids. That means advancement in their chosen field must be paramount in their life. That is equal opportunity. That is equal outcome.
