From the year she lost her virginity add 1 partner for every month she's single and add 1 for every six months she's in a relationship.

EXAMPLE:

She lost her virginity at 16 and now she's 20 and has been in committed relationship(s) for those 4 years.

If she were single those 4 years.

To be honest. What I've seen referred to as a 'high' N-count here is a little rediculous.

If your sheila is 20, and has been sexually active since she was 18. That means 104 weekends for her to be hit on. Say she only went out once a week on average (pretty low) then she was hit on 104 nights, by multiple guys. Say a low-ball of 2 guys a night. She's refused to go home with 199 guys to have an N-count of 9.

Obviously that's all bullshit maths. But my point is, 9 is nothing.
I had a higher N-count than 9 by 20 and I was nothing impressive and didn't go to university (where everyone was getting it on).

My latest LTR was 5 years, and only ended due to me becoming more and more beta over time. her N-count when we met (she was 23) would have easily been 20+ and that never caused an issue for her ability to be a good LTR.

I think this is one of those areas where a high N-count is a hint, and you need to figure out what that means.
Like a tattoo. If she has a tattoo of an angel wing on her shoulder to represent her father who passed away and is watching over her, that's a bit weird, but probably not a massive red flag.
If she has a tattoo of Justin Bieber lyrics, she's broken.

Lol the first number is never accurate. It's definitely more than 9. My one and only serious LTR was with an HB9.9 hottest chick in the club kind of girl. We met right as we were both getting out of the military so that will also have an impact on her N count since it's a male dominat work environment. We were age 23. When we first started dating she said 10. Half way through the relationship it was 20. Then near the end of the relationship sitting in a couple counselors office the truth of 58 was revealed and guess what?... I was number 55 so you figure that one out lol.

Me personally I wouldn't LTR someone over 15 and I wouldn't ever marry someone over 5. I know 5 would be extremely rare to find so looks like I'm never getting married. Ohhhh wellssss

Look, we need to get something straight when it comes to n-counts.

High n-counts increase the probability of a shitty partner for a lot of reasons, mainly because the willingness to invest in a LTR also stems from scarcity. But the high count isn't an issue, in itself. "High" is INCREDIBLY relative.

Being objective about it:

It increases the chances she's alpha widowed;
It lowers her willingness to invest;
It makes her more prone to being nagging and overly demanding;
It increases her chances of cheating, people more comfortable with sex have one less barrier towards it.

Now, you don't have to worry about the first three. She'll be a poor partner, and since you're here, you know that at any time you need to have the confidence and strength to leave, and the awareness of what you want and expect, so you're not shamed into staying in a shitty relationship.
On the cheating bit, there are so many other red flags for it that, in the end, despite the fact that it objectively raises the chances, the n ends up being hardly relevant. If your n=1 girlfriend is flirting around and toying by showing openness, some guy will game her into bed.

So, looking from this angle, I'd say your girl's 9 is high, but you'll see where I can be wrong:
She is not on scarcity, she can replace you in a blink and she knows it. She is probably the one that cares less about your relationship, which puts her in the position of power and leadership. And we know all too well that women REALLY suck at guiding a good relationship for two.
But I can be wrong on a lot of shit there, so... Your ball.

Numbers like 9 are suspicious. It is right below the double digit. Same reason why women celebrate their 29th birthday multiple times.

All women lie about this. So you know she is in the double digits.

The way to get a handle on it is act nonjudgmental and let her talk and see what she does and does not say and what her attitudes and behaviors are.

It's an art.
