How to handle a woman shouting at you in public?

I came across a weird situation today. I went to a mall and the parking was almost full so the parking assistant asked me to park the car in a corner without the hand brakes on, so that it would be possible for him to push it if the car behind mine had to be moved.

I did exactly that and also to be sure that no one gets troubled I also left my phone number on the dashboard of the car. All this I did without knowing whose car was it (Man/ Woman).

I had gone for at most 10 minutes and when I was returning I saw a woman in her early thirties was going towards my car and apparently the car behind mine was hers.

The moment I reached near my car I found her trying to search for the owner of the car for which I told her that it was my car only and I'm just leaving. But I don't know what switched inside of her. She just was not in a mood of having a good day or what and she started shouting loudly and complaining about how I don't know anything and blah blah. She was shouting so loudly that everyone in the parking area got gathered around us. I tried to reason with her but it was of no use, she had started making up stories about how she was waiting for the car to move since last half an hour when I just saw her coming to the parking lot a few minutes earlier than me. She was not willing to listen to me or the parking assistant and everyone just stood there waiting for her to finish her tantrums so that they can go back to their work. In a while when all her drama was ended she walked away making sarcastic comments and I just sat in my car and drove.

I wouldn't say I was scared or embarrassed or worried about her but it's just that I also didn't know how to handle a situation like this. Because no matter what I was feeling internally I know for a fact that everyone around me was surely thinking of me as a loser because I didn't do anything and just applied STFU (Maybe that was the wrong thing to do).

What would you suggest for handling situations like these where a man can win not just internally but in the eyes of others as well.
