I've seen alot of feedback on why it's bad for a woman to have a high partner count.

However, given that you're never going to get married (legal or common law) to this woman or any woman; does it matter? Going one step further, if you're in a non-exclusive relationship; then what's the problem?

I totally agree that there's a problem if marriage was a possibility and that attribute was valued; but given that the first is true...I figured that the count wouldn't matter.
