This has obvious satirical undertones but there is some truth to it.

The more educated you become, the more you realize that individual freedom is the cornerstone of Western civilization. Choose the side you think personifies this best.

SJWs and numales struggle to see this because they are so dependent on others for validation and support. The idea of being their own person and making their own choices terrifies them.

why is it natural for one to turn more conservative after educating themselves?

Capitalism has a PR problem. Socialism has a "this doesn't work" problem.

Without a basic understanding of economics, capitalism looks monstrous in contrast with socialism, because it seems as though capitalists won't help others despite an ability to do so. It appears as if there is a class of greedy fat cats with top hats and big cigars who collectively decide that they will keep the lower class down.

Learn some economics and you start to understand that it's not that capitalists don't want to help others. It's that declaring a scarce resource to be a god-given right doesn't suddenly make it any less scarce.

When socialism starts becoming popular it means that capitalism has been working. People are so comfortable that they start criticizing capitalism without realizing that it's what made them comfortable in the first place.

Eventually, when people stop having what to eat, they turn to what works without regard to "being kind to their fellow man": capitalism.

And so the cycle continues.

First of all, never allow memes to influence your political views. Don't even look at them, just scroll past. They're all one-sided drivel. Somebody else could post the exact same thing slamming the other side; it's just a matter of which memes you see more often.

With that said, government is a necessary function of society. You don't need to be interested in it, but you should understand it as a tool to help you accomplish large-scale goals within your community. So interact with your representatives, research new candidates, and vote in every election. That's all you should do. If you actually develop an interest, then you can become more active and potentially run for office yourself.

You'll quickly realize that people just love to complain. They'll complain on the internet. They'll complain to your face. They'll complain to a brick wall. Just ignore them all and focus on whatever you truly believe. Build more, complain less.

You'll also realize that all politicians are corrupt. All of them. Every single one. It's a fact of life; our system is built for corruption. Business leaders donate money to politicians, who in-turn support legislation that benefit the businesses. And so on. Just deal with it and, again, stick to whoever closely aligns with your personal values.

I'm speaking on this because I am deeply involved with my local government. I know the ins-and-outs. It's fun for me. I'm extremely progressive, and I'm pretty educated, so it's not "natural" for anybody to swing one side or the other; it simply boils down to your life experiences and what you believe is more beneficial to your community.
