looking for some personal advice.

For years and years I was commiting to LTRs because I thought that it will give me the feeling of being special. Special by getting something, no one else gets. That was mostly sexuality. The only reason for me to commit to a ltr was because of the rule, that everybody keepts it exclusive and therefore I felt to be special for that girl, because she was alright with it and liked me that much, that she came up with exclusivity.

I now understood, that all my envy and all in the past came from stuff, where I was mad about having no exclusivity (e.g. a LTR posting booty pics on instagram etc). I came to the conclusion, that the idea of exclusiveness as THE reason for LTRs is bullshit and I don't see why I should commit to it. As I can get more sex if I don#t commit and will not be let down at all.

Now I ask myself. If a partner should be LTR material. What should that girl bring to the table, to "nail me down"? What should I expect, so I would commit to it... The more I think about it, the less I'm in for it...

Do you have standards or things you want and get exclusive in LTRs? Anything meaningful?
